About
Mono have delivered CGI vehicle integration and VFX for automotive brands across the Asia-Pacific, including global OEMs and regional market leaders. We specialize in rapid market launches and facelift cycles.
We're based in Brisbane, Australia. Remote collaboration is standard for us.
What to expect when you contact us:
- We will arrange a 15-minute discovery call to understand your timeline and needs
- Custom approach recommendation tailored to your project
- Transparent pricing and realistic timelines
How long does the process typically take?
Depending on number of shots and complexity, typical projects tend to deliver in:
Content Library Refresh: From 2 weeks.
Production + CGI Integration: 6–10 weeks
Full CGI Production: 6–12 weeks
Timelines assume we have final CAD data and design approval. Rush delivery is possible for urgent launches.
For the fastest delivery, a clean FBX model is preferable to CAD data or reference images.
What do you need from us to get started?
For vehicle replacement or CGI integration:
- CAD data, model or high-res reference imagery
- Existing footage or shot list (if applicable)
- Brand guidelines (colors, materials, finishes)
- Timeline and deliverable specs
For full CGI:
- Creative brief or storyboard
- CAD data, model or high-res reference imagery
- Brand guidelines
We can work with preliminary assets and refine as design locks in.
Can you work with our existing production partners?
Absolutely. We integrate seamlessly with:
- Advertising agencies - We collaborate on creative direction and deliver to your specs
- Production companies - We can be on set for shoots or work from footage delivered to us
- Post-production houses - We deliver render passes, mattes, and source files for integration
- Still retouchers - We ensure consistency between video and photography assets
We're vendor-friendly and used to working within established creative teams.
How do you handle confidentiality and IP protection?
Design confidentiality is critical in automotive launches. We:
- Sign NDAs as standard practice
- Store all assets on secure, access-controlled servers
- Never share work publicly without explicit approval
- Deliver all source files and delete working files at your request
We are here to keep your designs away from public eyes until you are ready to launch.
What if the design changes during production?
This happens often, especially on new launches. Our process accommodates iterations:
- We work from preliminary CAD data and update as design evolves
- Changes to paint, wheels, trim, or badging are straightforward
- Significant structural changes may require timeline adjustments (we'll flag this early)
Clear communication during design lock prevents surprises.
Can you create variants (colors, trims, specs) from the same base asset?
Yes—this is one of CGI's biggest advantages.
Once we've built the base vehicle asset, creating variants is efficient:
- Different paint colors
- Wheel options
- Trim levels (chrome vs. black accents, etc.)
- Regional specifications (badging, mirrors, RHD vs. LHD)
This makes configurator content, regional marketing, and A/B testing much more cost-effective than traditional photography.
What's the pricing structure?
Pricing depends on scope, timeline, and deliverables. Generally:
- Content Library Refresh: Per-shot pricing or package rates for bulk updates
- Production + CGI Integration: Quoted per project based on shoot complexity and shot count
- Full CGI: Quoted per project based on environment complexity, shot count, and VFX requirements
We provide transparent estimates after a brief discovery call. No surprises, no scope creep without approval.
Do you use AI?
Not for Hero car images.
For accuracy and reliability, CAD is still the standard.
For some local workflows we may:
- Test lighting
- Ideate environments
- Create background elements
We will not use your designs with any web based AI service without your explicit approval.
